Blink Charging lowers charging costs in Brighton & Hove by ~10%
Blink Charging, in collaboration with Brighton & Hove City Council, recently announced a reduction in charging costs across the city. The changes are as follows:
- Lamp post chargers: Now 55p/kWh
(was 61p, down 10%) - 7kW "Fast" chargers: Now 53p/kWh
(was 61p, down 13%). - Rapid chargers: Now 72p/kWh
(was 79p, down 9%).
This pricing change starts on Wednesday 29th May 2024.
These price changes will com as welcome news to EV owners in the city, many of whom have been angry with price rises in recent years. In our owner's survey last year, Lamp Post chargers were deemed "overpriced" by participants, with scores for value reaching their lowest since we bagain our surveys back in 2018.
We continue to publish price comparisons for public EV charging networks on our website Leccy.net. where this month, Tesla's Rapid and Ultra-Rapid charging network continues to offer the cheapest at 35p/kWh.
