Lamp Post Chargers

100 new Lamp Post chargers installed, waiting to be available in-app

Earlier this year you may have noticed a bunch of new Lamp Post Chargers popping up around the city. Well, these new Blink Charging (formerly EB Charging) locations are due to be added soon to the Blink Charging App (formerly EB GO).

Note that these locations are all "bay-less" for the time being, but just like other locations without marked bays, they are expected to receive marked bays over the coming years.

Here's the full list!

See a map of all planned locations on our website.

More dedicated bays coming in July

In our Spring newsletter we reported on Traffic Regulation Orders open for public comment, which would be adding dedicated EV-only bays to a number of existing charging locations around the city. Well, these locations are soon to be painted - and the Council have informed us that the current ETA for these bays to go live is July 25th. This may change, but we will update our site to reflect these new parking restrictions once they are live. For a recap of these locations, please see our previous newsletter.

FareShare receive new electric vans for their fleet

Fareshare vans

FareShare, the regional UK charity that tackles hunger and food waste by providing surplus food to local charities, has recently taken delivery of new electric vans to join their local fleet operating in Brighton & Hove.

The Maxus eDeliver 9 vans have been paid for by support from the Rampion and the Sussex Community Foundation and FareShare say they can carry around 850kg of food, which is approximately 2024 meals, all delivered locally to those in need. The new vans will be helping FareShare achieve their 2032 target of reducing CO₂ emissions by 30%.

Leccy

Compare UK EV Charging Network prices

The cost of charging an EV on the UK's public charging networks has changed hugely in recent years, as the wholesale cost of electricity has risen sharply alongside the increases of gas prices.

To help make it easier to see where the best value lies on our public UK charging networks, every month we compile comparisons of EV Charging Networks over on a website we operate: Leccy.net. you can see prices for slow, fast, rapid and ultra rapid charging services from a range of the UK's charging networks.

Check out the full list of charging networks and prices over on the site.
